左道工作室由導演王國燊成立。2012年開拍第一部作品《世界末日》由李國煌和程旭輝主演；該片在新馬過百萬票房；同時參加了2013年南方影展。同年也為康康執導的《十萬夥急》擔任新加坡拍攝製作公司。

2014年為新傳媒拍攝的”Koji Cooks” 和 “Spouse For House” 皆提名 “亞洲電視大獎”最佳喜劇。2015 年 “Spouse For House” 第二季里的單曲視頻 “Unbelievable” 由王國燊作詞作曲，風靡亞洲；因此誕生了電影《Mr. Unbelievable》。

2016年，左道工作室為新傳媒製作的 “Fine Tunes” 再次被亞洲電視大獎提名入選 “最佳喜劇”。2017年，左道與台灣滿滿額公司合作拍攝由王柏傑和李毓芬主演的《絕世情歌》。

2018年，《男兒王》拍攝完畢，公司馬上投入製作新加坡知名音樂人李迪文的2019年電視劇《炒飯天堂》。2020年，《男兒王》入圍金馬獎最佳男主角以及造型設計獎。

2021年，左道工作室完成新傳媒劇集 “Future Proof” 以及愛奇藝賀歲片《團圓飯》。

2023 年，左道工作室完成《男兒王2》的拍攝。電影入圍2023年金馬WIP創投。

Byleft Productions was set up by Ong Kuo Sin.

In 2012, Byleft produced Ong Kuo Sin’s debut feature film, “Judgment Day”, starring Mark Lee and Henry Thia. The film went on to gross $1.4 million in the Malaysian box office in 2013. In the same year, Byleft provided local production support for “Time is Money”, the directorial debut for Taiwanese host Kang Kang.

In 2014, the company produced “Koji Cooks” and “Spouse For House 2” for Mediacorp. Both programs were nominated for Asian TV Awards in 2015 and from “Spouse For House 2”, the viral music video “Unbelievable” was created. Working in close tandem with the regular freelancers allowed Byleft to complete Ong Kuo Sin’s second feature film, “Mr. Unbelievable” in a mere 15 days.

In Oct 2016, the team completed “Fine Tunes” and the comedy series was nominated for “Best Comedy” at the Asian TV Awards.

In 2017, Byleft collaborated with MM2 Taiwan and completed principal photography for Ong Kuo Sin’s third feature film, “One Head Light”. The company also completed production for Toggle’s “The World According to Rayyan And Grace”, a spinoff from the record-breaking series “Tanglin”.

In 2018, the company completed principal photography for “Number 1” and produced “Fried Rice Paradise” with MM2 and Dick Lee in 2019. “Number 1” went on to garner two Golden Horse Awards Nomination in 2020. After the Circuit Breaker, Byleft completed “Slow Dancing”, a Wattpad and Mediacorp short series.

In 2021, Byleft completed the TV series “Future Proof” and the feature film, “Reunion Dinner” slated for IQIYI release during 2022 Chinese New Year.

This year, Byleft completed principal photography for “Number 2”. The movie is selected for the 2023 Golden Horse FPP WIP Award.
